Just a thought - and shoot it down if it's a bit too categorisationing hehe
Would it be useful to have a "Go to" thread, which listed certain key threads to use regarding some issues, kind of like a signpost thread?

E.g.
General
- Photo of the day here
- Cracks in iPhone housing here
SDK
- Beta 4 news here
- Beta 5 speculation
- What to do if don't know passcode on locked iPhone
iPhone 3G
-

3rd version of the iPhone
- Possible parts list
- Expected release date

Just a thought - would imagine it'll get crazy busy soon. What's the mods feeling - is the iPhone subforum have any specific moderating problems that could be eased? Seems like from the members viewing stats - it's consistently one of the subforums with the largest audience (though it seems to change depending on the day/time - would be really interesting to see stats over a day/week).

That's pretty much what we do. Look at the top of the iPhone forum, for example. Since the "Transferring songs from an iPhone" Mac Guide is of widespread interest, we put a link to it at the top of the forum page.

In the Mac Applications forum we have a thread named "Links to Software Recommendation Threads", which links to threads of particular importance in that forum.

Even the Community Discussion forum has one, the "Notable Community Threads" thread.

We also make certain threads in certain forums sticky to make them easy to find. We never "stick" more than a few per forum, to keep the page height under control for people using portable devices.

The preferred way to provide reference information for forum users is to create or help maintain a Mac Guide, which may then we a worthwhile addition to the head of a forum page.
