Hi,
I purchased an iphone in the philippines. I will be relocating to the US in a couple of months and was wondering if it was possible to use this phone over there? What do I need to do to make it compatible in the states?

Thanks :)

I take it you're currently on a GSM network?

If so, try using another carriers sim (other than your own) in the phone.

If you can successfully make a phone call, the phone should be unlocked.

You can also check your Lock status at: http://iphoneimei.info

yes it's possible. As it is likely GSM, you'll want to check out AT&T or T-Mobile for possible carrier choices.

Welcome to America!
