I recently bought a new iMac and didn't care to use migration assistant as I like getting a fresh start. I got it all set up.

Problem: What do I do with my iPhone? It is all set up on the old iMac. I still have the old iMac as it existed.

Is there any easy way to transfer all the backups and iPhone data from the old iMac to the new one?

You could just create new back-ups (instead of transferring).

Just plug in your iDevice, and without syncing, Control + Click over your devices name and click "Back-up" (you will now have a new back-up of your devices).

Fantastic. This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
