Hey

I am from Australia and I am planning to purchase an unlocked brand new iphone 3g from ebay. The seller says the box is still sealed in a plastic, is it possible? I thought all the brand new iphones from the us are locked.
Also, are there any special concerns regarding adapter and the different electrical currents? Will the US adapter suit me here is Australia or do I need to purchase a new 1?
Will the apple warranty still apply here?

thanks in advance

Warranty won't apply.

Why would you bother when you can buy a factory unlocked iPhone from Apple AU directly and you won't need to worry about updates breaking your unlock and Apple not supporting your issues.

We're one of very few countries where unlocked phones are available right from Apple themselves. May as well make use of it.
