I went to the apple store to get my iPhone fixed the other day. The employee opened up safari on my phone and punched something in on the keyboard. The app the flipped over like it was multitasking to a hidden app I'd never seen before. He said he was running some quick diagnostics and it wouldn't take long.

Does anybody know what he did? And can I do it myself without the phone being in the store?

I'd like to know this too. Also, if anyone knows what software they use when they're doing an extensive hardware test (if different than the Apple Hardware Test with installation disks) please let me know.

I swear there is a Apple Genus standing out side my house right now! gotta a pic to prove it!
