So I am getting mixed answers on various sites about replacing the glass on an iPhone 3G. My g/f cracked her glass, the touch pad and lcd works fine...so is there a way to JUST REPLACE THE GLASS? I have found some sites saying the digitizer isn't glued to the glass on the 3G but is on the original iPhone and some saying it is glued. Does anyone know if the glass alone can be replaced?

yes you can. Actually went through this a couple weeks ago. On a scale of 1/10 I would rate difficulty a 7.5. Quite a few videos on youtube to walk you through it.

my glass also broke and the LCD and touch were fine.

when i tried to replace the glass. i couldnt get the digitizer off the glass it is glued so good.

i would suggest getting the Glass with the digitizer.

they are like 25 bucks brand new on ebay!

Good luck. let us know what happens
