iphone, gmail... chronic problem...

i checked on the forums and couldn't find an answer...

i have gmail and an iphone. i send mail, it ends up in my inbox. i realize this is due to gmail's threaded conversation format.

i wrote a rule that says "if mail is from myself, skip the inbox and delete it".

i still get sent mail in my inbox on my iphone.

is there way to avoid this?
