Besides the Magellan and the TomTom kit, are there any alternatives to these? The Tom Tom iPhone kit for some reason is not available in Canada, which os bizarre since the iPod Tom Tom kit is. Anyone have any ideas?

not seen or used one, but there it is.

I have the TomTom and like it. however the fixed fit is an issue. Cannot use it with an iPhone 4 and older iPhone (the rubber kit to make it work with the iPhone 4 means you can't use an older iPhone). No cases either. Was leaning towards the Magellan, but the silly AUX setup was a deal breaker for me.

If you don't use a case, don't mind taking it out of the case, or only have an iPhone 4 (or earlier models) it works great and is well built.

FYI...the handsfree calling is poor. I can barely understand the person I'm talking to. Not something I hardly ever use. I got it for GPS navigation, AUX out, and a way to safely mount it in my car. Hands free calling is just a bonus that isn't very good.
