Hi,

Was wondering if you could help me. I was using my iphone 5 as normal about half hour ago. The entire screen then went black, with black lines, almost static. Now it will only turn on to a grey screen with the apple logo & about 10 small white messages. There is no error code. One says "(NAND) find flash media and keep out, 601 physical NAND block", and several others. All other messages also start with (NAND).

Has anyone got any idea what it means. Is it dead? Thanks in advance.

Do you still have warranty? If so, bring it in and replace it. Sounds like it possibly went bad. You could also try going into DFU mode and restoring.

I upgraded through Vodafone in Feb so am assuming that it's still covered under warranty. I've tried a hard reset. What is DFU plz? Screen is now unresponsive although does show my lock screen, but won't swipe or anything. Above the screen are 2 little holes and in one there is a red light. Any idea what that could be plz? Thanks
