I have Iphone 3g with baseband of 2.11.07. I havent jailbreak it yet. I will be using pwnage tool to do it with 2.1 firmware. I just want to know if I will unlock and jailbreak it with pwnage tool, will it also update my modem firmware? I am just worried caz I dont want to see not having it a software unlock. ill appreciate any help.

If you disable the baseband update in the custom firmware that you build, the baseband will stay the same.
