Just wanted to check on something that happened at a previous job. I had an iphone 6s at the time, I was talking to a coworker and informed her that I kept my password locked on my iphone note app. The next day and just about every other day after, my iphone would light up as if I hit the wake button, same thing on my Samsung tablet that I used to browse the web each morning before work. This only started happening after my conversation with her. Our company contracted with the Department of Defense and specialized in Information Technology. I am just curious if it was possible my phone was being hacked or if a ping was occurring just based on me being connected to the wifi at that location? I no longer work there and it does not happen anymore but it was quite annoying at the time to not know what was going on and that fact that it only started occurring after that particular conversation.

Thanks

What you described does not sound like your phone was hacked. If you had a strong pass code for your phone, and did not tell anyone else etc. you will be fine. If you are still unsure, wipe your phone and setup as new.

iPhones running stock OS with strong passcode and 2FA on the account don’t get hacked in the sense most people use the term.

Moving forward, don’t tell people where you have your password stored. That is not prudent.
