Switching from the EDGE iPhone to the 3G just leaves the EDGE one as an iPod Touch, basically. HOWEVER, we are having problems that Apple needs to address.

My partner has downloaded apps, but she can't sync them to the iPhone because they've been downloaded under her account - and apparently, the iPhone is STILL under my account, even though I switched to the 3G months ago.

My old number still appears on the iPhone screen in iTunes even though it has no SIM card in it. It just plain STILL wants to be mine. (It's like Haley Joel Osmond in the film "A.I."... am I right!?)

I've searched the boards. Nothing pisses me off like a n00b who doesn't know how to Google or use the search function on a board, but I cannot find anything for this specific need. Most of the articles are about getting your friend to activate the old iPhone on AT&T, but we don't want to do that. (We're trying to unlock and jailbreak... running into problems with that, too).
