iPhone has dead pixel/No Apple Store around

I've had my iPhone 3G for almost a year in September. Today I noticed a dead pixel on the right side. It's not very noticeable on a white screen but very noticeable on a black or dark screen, such as when I'm watching a video podcast etc. I searched the forums, since I noticed that was a pet peeve of some users, and got info to go to an Apple Store but I live in Arkansas and we unfortunately do not have one. My limited warranty expires in September 09. Do I have any options or am I SOL. Thanks in advance for any advice
