iPhone Headphone Mic Control

I found this out by accident quite some time ago but haven't yet posted it. I am not sure if this is well known to all of you but it wasn't to me or anyone I know and I didn't see it in the manual so...here it goes

While a song is playing with the iPod app you can fast-forward the song by doing a double-click and hold on the second click (Click-Click and hold). Likewise, you can triple-click and hold to rewind (Click-Click-Click and hold).

Is this new to anyone at all?

You can also hold to activate voice control, etc.
