Anyone know how to solve this problem?

on OSX when using Skype the microphone from the headset picks up sound, but on Windows its picking up sound from the laptops built in mic instead, kind of sucks because the mic port is right next to the fans and it creates a lot of noise. :(

bump.. there has to be people who want to use the built in mic on apple headphones.. especially due to macbook airs not having a mic port.

Did you try changing the input from the built-in mic to the headset?

Actually I should ask if you installed BootCamp drivers…?

oh skype when i go to the mic options, there is only 1 mic available, which is the one built into the laptop.

and yeah installed all the bootcamp drivers

It's common that windows doesn't find the apple headset mic. Simply doesn't register.
