iPhone Home Button - Has To Be Pressed Right In

My Home button seems to be need to be pressed right in to work. Rather annoying, as it'll click down if I press it, but not register until I press it right down in the middle. I can press it lightly in the middle and it'll click but not register until I press harder.

Why do I find this annoying? Well, if I'm switching from an app to the home screen, it never registers my first push, and it is a pain to have to press it firmly.

Does anyone else have this issue or is it just my iPhone? It is something I could learn to live with, but it really does irritate me.

probably a faulty phone, my home button is very easy to press.

I remember reading a report about someone having junk behind their home button and it was hard to push in.
