Is there any way to remove or disable the camera / torch on the Home Screen?

I don’t understand why they’re hard integrated on the Home Screen?

I don't understand why, from the Lock Screen, I can either get to the camera by swiping left or pressing the icon.

Why am I given 2 choices to do the exact same action?

I never understood why Apple kept both methods. Seems very un-Apple like UX wise.

Yeah on my iPhone 14 Pro, because of its AOD, I accidentally press the torch button on the lock screen. It's useful for it to be there, but I wish I could disable it until I need it.

Unfortunately this is one of the things Apple won’t let us change. I hate the camera shortcut. I rarely use the camera at all. I’m constantly accidentally opening it, more often than not in my pocket.

It was worse on my old iPhone SE and 7 before that, now that I have a faceID phone I actually like the flash light shortcut, but I have accidentally turned it on.

I think there have been thousands of requests to Apple to let us customize those buttons but they haven’t seemed to give any thought to it.

Oh... how many times did I accidentally turn on the flashlight. Luckily, there is haptic feedback to notify you, but sometimes I just don't register it, and it can shine in my bag for hours.

No way to remove it. 😔
