iPhone & Hotmail.. again?

This must have been asked before but I can't see it..

So you set up a hotmail account on your iPhone as an 'other' type of account and you get all your old mails showing up but no folders or contacts. I read an article suggesting to set it up with the Microsoft Exchange option which shows the folders but no old mails are downloaded from the server.

Is there any way of resolving this issue without buying an app like mBox or upgrading to Hotmail Premium?

Exchange will do as you need. Set 'Mail Days to Sync' to 'No limit'.

I set up my hotmail as an exchange account and got all my old emails with no problem
