Trying to be connected to another iPhone hotspot is really a frustrating nightmare. When travelling with my son, we experience it every day many times. I can't believe something can work so badly

1) often you see all possible networks around you but not the hotspot 50 cm from you. You have to switch on and off the hotspot (and wifi on the other phone) many times before you finally see it after many attempts. Then you try to connect and often a message - "could not connect, try to move closer", while the signal is full.

2) you start using it, remain idle for 20-30 sec or so and it is disconnected every time. And trying to connect to the hotspot show starts again.

etc.

We used to have an old android phone in the office. For 3 years the hotspot there remained permanently on and whenever someone came there, was connected easily and automatically and remained connected all the time. Not a single time it had to be restarted, reconnected etc.

I really wonder how Apple could make things work so badly :((
