The survey was taken by a sample of 13,000 consumers who had purchased a phone over a 30-day period. 200 of these purchased an iPhone.
...
It found that an iPhone purchaser was ten times more likely than other new phone buyers to have owned a Palm Treo, and three times more likely to own a T-Mobile branded phone, such as a Sidekick, MDA, or Dash.
...

now, is iPT hurting iPhone? good question!:)

I think that it is Palm that will suffer the most at the hands of the iPhone. Lets face it, the Treos are nice, but really haven't been updated very much since the Treo 600. I certainly don't see Blackberry loosing much market share to the iPhone.

Thats interesting to see, i'm sure several of the wireless carriers will suffer from iPhone sales, makes sense when there have been over a million plus iPhones sold to date the bulk of the AT&T customers most likely have come from other carriers.

Not to rain on anyone´'s parade, but 200 out of 13000 bought an iphone. Extrapolating that out to the one million mark, that's 64M other phones sold.

I´m as happy as anyone that Apple is doing as well as it is with the iPhone,
but this article really doesn't show that anyone is hurting.
