iCloud Backup says my iCloud doesn't have enough space for backup. So I did the following to free-up space in iCloud. Turn off iPhone Photos to not upload to iCloud; deleted many videos in iCloud using icloud.com with laptop Windows browser.

So I run backup to iCloud; now it takes up huge amount of space (24g) because now backup includes pictures. Apparently if iPhone pictures are automatically uploaded to iCloud, backup will NOT include pictures AND vice-versa. As it is, iCloud will store backup (including pictures); pictures I left behind in iCloud and document data.

So what can I do to:
a) not include pictures in backup
and
b) stop automatic upload of my iPhone pictures

I currently pay for 50g iCloud space. My pictues are automatically uploaded to google photos for FREE.
