iPhone in Canada

Hey guys;

What was the last rumor about the iPhone coming to Canada? Also, should I just suck it up and buy an unlocked one on Rogers, or should I suck it up and buy a touch? Further, if I buy an unlocked one on Rogers, can I "switch" it to a locked-in one once Rogers/another carrier DOES start offering the iPhone?

I was talking with a guy in Rogers marketing and he said that iphone would be out by August. He didn't know an exact date though. Rogers was trying to create a special data + voice package for the iphone.

i'm so glad i didn't cave to those retardly high priced unlocked iPhones.

now i get a legit phone that can be updated normally, and I get the new version too. sometimes the painful patience pays off

i'm hoping for an earlier release than Aug , but that sounds about right

Thats good news if true. reasonable data prices in Canada are long overdue. Hopefully a date is given at WWDC our around that timeframe.
