Malta
Vodafone (Malta) have today started receiving pre-registrations for the iPhone 3G. They said that supplies will be very limited. Prices, tariffs and launch date have not yet been announced. This info. was received via email by persons who had made previous enquiries and is also available on the Vodafone (Malta) site, www.vodafone.com.mt ..........finally. Hope to be one of the lucky few which are rumoured to be only 1000 initially.

This may be the first Maltese post I have come across. I'm originally from Malta and used to live in Gzira during my childhood days. Since then I've moved to the US, however my family still lives in Sliema.

Glad to see that Malta is getting the iPhone. What are they selling for in Malta. Euro / Lira? Will they sell unlocked? If they do I may end up having a famiuly member send me an unlocked iPhone, so when I travel to Iraq or Afganistan, I can always use their local sim chips.

Thanks
Chris B
