Hi

I am looking to get an iPhone (based in UK), have looked into o2 prepaid / contract and also just cracking one - problem is i need it unlocked and not keen on going the TurboSim method.

Wondering if anyone has managed to get one from Singapore / Hong Kong that is formally unlocked. As I understand it the IEMI is linked to Apple and so its always unlocked and you don't have issues with updating firmware. I have seen posts on Ebay for people offering real unlocked phones (no software/turbosim) - or wondering if anyone knows a online retailer who would ship to the UK,

Has anyone tried this or run into problems?

Our company phones are issued on Vodafone, so I want to use my iPhone on that otherwise I have to pay for my calls, which seems crazy just so i can have a iPhone.

Thanks for any advice.
