I plan on traveling overseas and would like to use my iphone 3g (ATT).

My friend says to call ATT International and ask for unlock code and then get O2 sim for it. He says rate is 10 cents a minute for voice but you can purchase the unlimited edge / 3g data option.

Has anyone done this?

I have done that with my 2g iphone and it works. ATT wouldn't give you an unlock code. You will have to JB your iphone if you want to switch sim cards around. I can't comment on 3g iphone since I never done it. I just suck it up and pay the international rate. Business write off.
