Didn't know where to put this post, as the problem is in iPhone 4, 1st gen iPad, and 2nd gen Apple TV.

Did the latest firmware for these devices change the kind of audio that can be played? Stricter standards?

I'm trying to listen to a podcast that worked with the previous versions of iOSs, but since upgrading, the same file no longer plays.

It plays for 2 seconds sounding like record scratching, then jumps to the next podcast in the list. It does this for all the podcasts on the same show.

I've tried device reboots, re-syncing, deleting and re-downloading, all with the same results. The podcast does play perfect in iTunes on my iMac

I've tried a different podcast show and that one works.

The specs of what I'm trying to play is an MP3, 16kbps, 12 kHZ, mpeg 2, layer 3.

If I tell iTunes to convert to AAC, it plays fine.

Any ideas?

Can someone else try? It's the Bob & Sheri Podcast. It's under Comedy and also News & Politics. Don't know why it's listed twice.
