After trying out and finally trashing PhoneView Demo, iTunes will no longer start up when I connect my iPhone although it will fire up ok when the iPods are mounted. ITunes will start up just fine from the dock when the phone is connected and there is no problem with recognizing the phone.
I'm sure I am just having a senior moment, but I can't for the life of me find anything in the prefs to to tell iTunes to start up on connecting an iPhone.
It is a MacBook OS 10.5.6 and iTunes 8.1.1, iPhone 3G OS 2.1.1 and all kinds of iPods. And there is an iTunesHelper in the startup items.
