Why camp? I went at the original launch right at the time of the sale. I had to wait in a long line, but they still had plenty, and I got mine without camping on a concrete floor doing nothing for hours. I plan to do the same this July 11th.

There were no lines last year... I don't expect any this year either. Must just be the area I live in.

I'll be arriving at 8AM at an AT&T store and I bet I am no more than number 5 if there is a line.

Well, for me personally, waiting in a line is the least favorite part of life. I've waited in lines for college, for roller coasters, for Nintendo games, and many other things. If I can avoid it, I do. I hate it. I'd rather make memories other ways, than with some random strangers in front of an Apple store.

Exactly. I remember it like yesterday. Waiting in line for 7 hours next to some idiot with a really loud SLVR play rap music and the battery JUST WOULD NOT DIE.

I wish I'd come sooner, the people at the front of the line were way cooler.

Sounds good to me. I think i'm setting up around 4-5. I think most people will be going to the apple stores so i'm setting up at a AT&T store (also the fact it seems like it'll be easier hopefully to upgrade and such). I need to get some friends to come set up with me and my dad and we'll have a party!

You got way too much time on your hands to be camping out for a PHONE. Not to mention the fact that it's going to be plenty available. The original which had way more hype was still available DAYS after launch. If your 18 or under than no worries I totally understand.

Themed CC, bottled water (though I'm holding out for free Starbuck's and Krispy Kremes), my personal trainer, my masseuse, my financial advisor, (2) thermos' filled with Starbuck's coffee, a generator (on wheels of course; I'll charge $10 per phone to recharge), my HumanTouch massage chair, and my MBP to keep MR advised on the situation...If I've left anything out, I probably won't need it...

Me and a friend will be outside from 6.00am local store opens at 7.00am (UK) we shall take our hands so we can play paper, rock, scissors with each other.

I guess standing there for 1 hour doesn’t count as camping. Just queuing.

I'm planning to get there at like 5 am. I'm also going to an ATT store too since the Apple store will be that much more busy. I want to be the FIRST one in line because I don't want to be behind some people with bad credit or some other problem that is just going to make the morning even more miserable.

I'll have my MBP, a chair, and some coffee with a snack or something.

The rest of my Fam will meet me up there before 8.

My wife thinks I'm a little crazy but she knows I've been waiting for this phone for a while.

I wouldn’t class it as luck, I just cant see many other people actually going early to wait for the iPhone. If we get arrive and there is tons of others already waiting (highly doubt it) I guess ill know for next time.

I remember having soo much fun waiting for halo 3, GTA, and metallica tickets. I realize the iphone crowd might be a little different but I guess I will see. The Att store i am going to is in a town with a pop of 25,000. I dont know if there will be a line or not.
