iPhone keeps deleting camera albums

I have tried a couple times to create separate albums on my phone. It works for a while, but the next day those albums are gone. The photos came from my main camera roll and they are still there, but the albums are gone. Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
