iPhone 6(S)/Plus iPhone keeps logging in to old iTunes and App Store account

My iPhone is logged into my old iTunes and App Store account. When I log out and sign in to my current account, it immediately reverts to my old account. Does anyone know how to fix this so it stays logged in to my current account?

My guess is that you are signed into the App store using a different ID than the phone. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store. Touch your AppleID, then sign out. Then touch sign in. It will offer to sign in using the same AppleID the phone is using.

tried that buy I have the same issue with the Apple ID. whenever I log out and log back in it automatically reverts to the old account. I tried logging out of everything then rebooting. No luck.
