I got the same problem, but I fixed it today.
Hi, I got the same problem, but I fixed already. Now I decribe my problem:
I use iphone 4, ios 6.0, and I jailbroken it by redsnow. Yesterday, after it ran out of power, it got restart loop (reboot loop), so I could not power off it. I searched many threads saying that I need to restore it by iTune. Even though I upgraded the lated version of iTune and tried many times to restore it, but it got error saying that: ...firmware corrupted...(something like that).
Here is what I did:
- I used redsnow 0.9.13dev4 to select ipsw (I used iPhone3,1_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw file). Notice that resnow 0.9.12b1 did not work with this file.
- I let my iphone into recovery mode (hold down 2 buttons until it appears logo itune).
- I let it restart by hold one button, and this is the most important thing: Before it gets into springboard screen at the first time, you have to hold power button to power off it (only this time you can power off you iphone without getting into reboot loop).
- Then your iphone will appear the circle timing (sorry, I don't know how to call it), and it will power off.
- Connect it to computer and choose "Just boot." Then click next, and you do DFU as the guide. If redsnow recognizes it before the count down time ends, it will work. (You can connect iphone to the redsnow and do power off steps as decribe above as the same time if this does not work).
Let me know your result.
