Before you ask, I use the apple brand USB cord and apple brand wall charger to charge my iPhone 4. It worked perfectly up until last night when it started giving me that message. I tried plugging it into my computer's USB port and it said the same thing. I tried turning it off and back on again and even resetting it and neither helped. Help is appreciated.

I'd borrow another cable and try that...I've had that message pop up when using Apple cables before....Just before they die.
