I was hoping Apple marketing came to their senses when they simplified the iPad lineup but apparently not as the iPhone is now a mess just to fill all these different price points. The 6S shouldn’t be there. I hate when Apple has something in the product line that only exists to get you to buy something else. That’s what the 6S is. Who cares if there is a $200 price difference between the SE and the 7? The SE is the ‘cheap’ option, the gateway into the ecosystem. Then you have good > better > best with the 7 > 8 > 10. But Schiller seems to think the 6S has to be there to get people to buy the 7. I don’t care if it’s marketing 101, it’s madness. Just like not offering the sweet spot in storage options where good isn’t quite good enough so you spend more for better even though it might be overkill. If there’s any area that has too much power inside Apple it’s marketing.
