So a few weeks ago my iphone 3gs stopped showing up under "my computer", so i couldn't get the pictures off it (on windows vista). A little status thing would pop up and say "searching preconfigured drivers folders...." then say "failed". it would still be in itunes, just not under my computer.
In trying to fix it, i read that uninstalling the drivers might help, so i tried it to no avail. then i did the same thing, but checked the box that said "uninstall driver software" or something like that. now, whenever i plug in my phone, it doesn't show up in itunes or my computer and it doesn't charge from the computer. Before, it was listed as "apple device" or something, and now it's "digital still camera".
I've done a restore before and i want to do one again but since it's not in itunes i don't know how to do that. What should i try doing to make it show up in itunes again?
