Iphone Lock Screen Sleeping

I recently bought a IPhone 4 and I Jail broke it, and every time I just hit the home button to display the "Slide to Unlock" screen to display the time or something the screen and the phone will not go to asleep at all. Even when I have the setting to 5 sec turn the phone off. The whole battery will die on the phone and the only way to put the phone to asleep is hit the sleep button. Whats wrone. The only thing I could see interfering is I installed the supreme Prefs 3.0 to display the "Cellular Data Network" pref pane.

5 sec? In the default Settings for locking(sleep mode) the phone the times start at 1 min then 2, 3 and so on. Maybe you have yours set to 5 minutes vs 5 seconds?
