iphone lost need contacts

well i dropped my iphone 3g in the ocean was not able to retrieve it. my last backup was two weeks ago. but it synced up today. i have a very important contact i added yesterday that i need to view. i checked in my address book and it appeared to be empty is there any way i can get this contact back? thanks

Buy another iPhone and restore from backup

also that is an encrypted backup and it wouldnt allow me to select that backup when i tried to do that with my moms iphone

scratch that i got it to work
