Hi all,
I noticed recently that I couldn't airdrop things from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro anymore. For a while it didn't bother me, but now I'm doing something big for work and it'd be really convenient to be able to use AirDrop between the 2 devices.
So I went into the preferences on both devices and tried to reconfigure AirDrop through BlueTooth settings. My MacBook Pro kept telling me to be sure that Network Access was enabled. However, now my iPhone says, when trying to connect to my MacBook Pro via BlueTooth "MacBook Pro is not supported."
Is there a way to fix this? My phone is iPhone 6, and my MacBook Pro is Early 2015, so I don't see why either wouldn't be supported. It basically forced me to "Forget" each device on the other. So I had to disconnect my iPhone from my Mac's Bluetooth devices list, and reconnect. Still, though, that didn't fix the problem. Basically, the two devices cannot connect over Blue Tooth.
Update: When I try to pair my Mac to my phone, it says "Make sure your MacBook Pro is on and within range" but I'm using both simultaneously (so it's on) and the iPhone is on the desk right next to my MacBook Pro. Never had this much trouble with BlueTooth before
Any advice on how to fix this? Thank you!
