Hello, on my fully updated Iphone, my mail app opens by itself without me clicking it. Was on my phones home screen and it just opened, happens once in a while. Anything I can do to stop this, has anyone else noticed this?

Could this be a software issue that requires a replacement device, or am I jumping the gun?

Thanks alot.

I had a problem recently with an app seemingly re-opening itself despite rebooting, but it turns out it was literally just a smudge on the screen. Clean your screen real good while powered off with a screen cleaner. My best guess in my case is that there was something greasy, combined maybe with some static electricity, that combined to make the iPhone react like it was actively being touched. It's not the first time I've had something flukey like this happen. I had my iPhone in the pocket of my swim trunks after returning home from the beach, and my emergency contact got dialed unknown to me. The salty dampness facilitated contact through the trunks to my thigh, thus stimulating the iPhone to react to touches.

I don’t think this is it for me, but It is a possibility. I will be cleaning my screen and the case. Thank you for the advice.
