Hello

I am putting this out to the MacRumours family as i've tried everything to solve this problem on my own but i can't seem to sort it and am in need of HELP.....please.

I have an iPhone and have set up my Google mail accounts on my MacBook using the mail program and have used the same program to view my emails on my iPhone.
However i have set EVERYTHING for me to get the mails when i want them about 20 times if not more...and STILL i have problems.
The problems being i look through my contacts and the mail searches and pops up with new emails....WHY????? this is without me going on my mail at all....
I have set the phone to 'fetch new data' OFF for both accounts and this still keeps happening.
This has been going on for nearly a YEAR since i got the phone...which i love and wouldn't ever change but would be 110% perfect if this would work for me.

I have restored factory settings on the iphone and that didn't seem to help, on the Mail program on the Macbook i've also unchecked the box to remove email from the server so if it does come through to the iphone then i can still see it on the computer but this isn't working either (not sure if that makes much difference anyways as i'm not sure thats what it does)
I end up having emails on the phone that i don't get on the MacBook so i have to resend them to the other account and then move them back to the original mail box on the Macbook and it's driving me crazy!!!

I'm wouldn't call myself a Steve Jobs and a complete whizz with computers but i know my way around a machine but this has seemed to completely lost me.

So if anyone knows ANYTHING that i could try and could stop this problem then i would be very grateful to you.

Many Thanks
