Does anyone know the max wattage an iPhone 12 will draw. I don’t see the point in buying say the 30W if it doesn't charge above 20. Anyone know where this information is available. Thanks.

If it same as iPhone 11, it is 22W but for a very very short time. I think this picture explain easily how power draw evolves when charging

In short, a 30W don't damage battery ofc and you can expect a very slight speed boost vs 20W but it will be very very negligeable.

If you buy a power adapter only for iPhone 12, go for 20W. If you can take advantage of the extra 10W for other devices, then consider a 30W to have a more versatile power adapter.
