Iphone - messages archived

Hi all

Yesterday I lost all my text messages from one minute to the next. When I check my storage capacity, it writes that my messages reach 8.02 gb. When I click on storage capacity and then messages, it writes "messages (archived)".

I have tried to back-up on iTunes and reinstall the iPhone, but the result is the same. Since this is an iPhone 5, I can't save messages on iCloud.

I really hope someone can help me.
