Iphone messaging indexing

Would this be considered a part of the mobile OS-x? Reason i'm asking is I love the indexing feature over searching and searching (on my blackberry curve 8320) and thinking about trying to think of a way I can get my messages indexed. Any hints/tips on both could be useful
