iPhone microsim in iPad

Can I switch my iPhone microsim to the iPad and avail of my data plan?

I would use hotspot but Vodafone Ireland do not allow this feature unless you pay an additional monthly fee.

Aye, just dont wanna risk popping the sim in until someone can perhaps confirm.

When hotspot first appeared Vodafone Ireland didnt bother informing customers that this would be an additional charge and would work off of a different APN leaving people with massive bills.

Contacted Vodafone and apparently it should be fine once you use the live apn but be warned that when you pop the iphone sim inside the ipad it seems to go to the hs apn by default. Did so on mine anyway so keep an eye on that unless you want some nasty data charges. They said that it might not work as live is not for ipads but the 3G is working for me no problem.
