I have an iPhone Mini 12 and I'm trying to figure out how I'm able to copy the pictures and videos from it to my PC. I'm connecting with a USB C to lightening adapter, itunes will detect my phone fine however in windows file explorer, DCIM will sometimes be totally empty and other times I'm able to see the contents of folders but I'm not able to move any files from the device, even when the device is unlocked.

iCloud is just uploading small files which result in poor quality even though optimisation is turned off so I can't download them to my PC that way either

Any suggestions?
