Any iPhone 13 mini experiencing a lot of performance issues. My phone keeps freezing! Been pretty annoying to be honest.

Yeah I have the same issue with 13 mini. Yesterday I wanted to check my Mail then went to take a photo and the Camera app froze, I wanted to go back to Mail app but nothing worked, even hard reset of the phone did not function, so I waited like 2 minutes and the Camera app closed itself and could check the Mail app again. I don't know if it's the lack of RAM or iOS 18 is simply buggy.

I have a handful of regular 13 (not mini) running iOS 18.1 at work and haven't had any reports on these issues. I have a lab-phone that is running the same version but haven't used it much and not the apps you mention (camera and mail).
But since its the same HW I don't think its related to RAM. But then again, it could be anything I guess.
Try and do a manual update of apps, might help the issue. Otherwise i'd guess well see a 18.1.1 fairly soon.

My iPhone 12 mini, and wife's 15 pro both have had camera freezing issues recently since iOS 18. Downloading 18.1 to see if this resolves the problem.

I wonder if it’s a RAM issue. My 14 Plus runs like a champ while my 12 & 13 minis see quite a bit more lag and generally feel a bit aluggish in comparison. Switching to the empji Keyboard for example sometimes takes half a second or so where as on the 14 it’s instantaneous.

All devices are on iOS 18.1

I'm not sure. My 14 Pro is struggling a bit more on 18.x than it did before. Some things are noticeably faster, others seem to make the system stutter just doing random things. It's not at a point where I'm upset about the performance, but it's just not the same old buttery smooth iPhone it used to be. Battery health is at 82%, so I don’t believe iOS is holding back performance just yet.
