Hello, I was using iPhone mirroring with the beta just fine, and was able to unlock Microsoft Authenticator with touchID on my MacBook. Since the release candidate I cannot unlock the authenticator app - it just shows an unlock button and does nothing. This was the best use of iPhone mirroring for me (but the notifications are actually really useful). I rebooted both devices, has anyone else found a fix for this?

I still haven’t tried this myself, but I wonder if this was an intentional change, as a security measure. Hope not.

The MS Authenticator app is working for me through iPhone Mirroring. Touch ID works, as well as entering my password.

My banking apps (and a few other non-banking apps) don't work though, so I do wonder if this is something that the developers need to support from a security perspective. Especially considering that the iPhone doesn’t give much warning when a mirroring session has started. The phone could be in your pocket, and someone could be snooping through it from your Mac. You wouldn't know until you wake up or unlock your phone...when it might be too late to stop them from doing something nefarious.

That’s interesting some apps work and others don’t. Yes, perhaps that means mirrored Touch ID does need to be supported by each developer. If so, I hope they all get on board.

Regarding secure usage, I don’t know that an alert on your phone would help much because someone has to be logged into your Mac account to mirror, and if they are logged in then they probably already have access to pretty much anything that would be accessible on your phone, no? Except for local files. You also have the option of requiring Touch ID authentication each time you initiate iPhone Mirror, if you think it’s likely someone other than yourself might use your Mac account. But I suppose an option to send an alert to the phone each time it’s mirrored wouldn’t hurt—as long as it’s an option.

yes Authenticator now working for me however passportal will only work with faceid on the phone (no good when mirroring) or pin, usable but not consistent unfortunately.
