My iPhone XS Max is demonstrating an issue where it’s not getting texts until hours later, though the time stamp shows the time it was sent, and I’ve been checking my phone looking for these texts (it’s not a matter of missing them), and it won’t ring at all for phone calls sometimes so I miss them entirely. This happened most recently for a phone call dr appt which I totally missed due to this behavior. I’ve noticed this problem intermittently on previous iPhones as well.
- iPhone XS Max on iOS 14.6 on Verizon
- WiFi calling is off, I turned it both on and off to stop this problem, but it didn’t help and if anything made things worse
- Cell signal at my house ranges 2-4 out of 4 bars
- Rebooting doesn’t seem to help
- Dr called me from an unknown number went to voicemail but call doesn’t show up in recent calls, only voicemail - “Silence unknown callers” feature is off
- I have TruCaller and Verizon call filter on, but I don’t see them interfering here
- I have an iPad that gets some of the same notifications that my phone gets but I don’t see that interfering here
It’s a really confusing problem and it’s highly intermittent. Sometimes it’s a problem regularly, often it’s not. Has anyone solved a similar problem to this?
