after not being used for awhile my old iphone is not charging - tried to "restore" it by holding home when I plugged it in and firing up iTunes - but a couple of minutes left in the download the phone turned off and the download stopped. Now, when I plug it it, the red battery with the lightning bolt appears for 7 seconds followed by the apple apple on black for 15 seconds or so...this iphone has been sitting on the shelf since Christmas - I don't have a dock or a wall charger anymore - just the USB line -- so is it a venerable old brick, or is there hope ahead?
