I am at wits end and hoping someone has an answer that makes sense.
iPhone and MBP are authorized to the same iTunes account. iPhone and MBP are paired for sync.
Rented a movie on my iPhone.
Next time I synced my iPhone and MBP, it removed the movie from my iPhone without asking, putting it on the MBP.
I need to move it back to the iPhone so we can watch it on the TV tonight (I have the A/V cable), but iTunes throws an error saying I'm not allowed to do that as this movie is not authorized to play on this mac.
Full on Stymie and I have a family full of people waiting for this movie tonight.
I hate, hate, hate, hate DRM for this reason. I paid for something I am being kept from and I have done nothing wrong.
Oh, and it won't play on the MBP either. It's essentially a $4 1.5GB virtual paper weight.
