Hey Everyone,

Have you noticed that the iPhone's music player doesn't come with a progress bar.
You can't tell how far you are throughout the song (or how much longer it has to go).
lol.

Unless you were just at MacWorld checking out the phone, I doubt that they would forget something like that. The volume bar would probably double as volume/progress/rating just like on the iPod.

well the progress bar is in the movie player so I would guess it is implemented in the music player as well. Probably they didn't show it on the website or maybe you have to touch the screen to see it.

It's definitely there in the video. When you watch him adjust the volume on video, the progress bar is on top, with the volume adjusts at the bottom.

In the audio, I missed the progress bar, so yeah I guess this is missing here.

The progress bar is rubbish. Is your music so bad you need to know how much is left of the torture? Bah! ;)

It actually comes in handy for my jogs...as I usually jog for half of a 50 minute podcast and then turn back towards home...it's much easier to check progress then to navigate back to the clock.

After hearing Steve stress having each program have a different UI that better fit its uses and the history of the iPod combining volume and progress in one spot I'd be hard pressed to actually claim anything is missing until I looked for it myself. My guess is if you tap on the volume bar it slides to the left and is replaced with a progress bar. Or perhaps it is overlaid on the album art....
